With this piece I wanted to challenge the ideas of colour theory by putting the warm yellow in the background and the cool blue in the foreground which really draws the viewer into the blue circles. Named after the 16th Fibonacci number this piece is part of my Fibonacci series where each circle gets larger based on the Fibonacci sequence. I’ve also incorporated the golden rectangle using the horizon line to mark the outside edge of the medial section.
The subject of this piece is very much inspired by the peace and tranquility of living in the heart of the lakes district in Northern B.C., where one can always find solitude.
