I started this tutorial as a guide for those who might like the layout of a painting but not the colours.
Using texture gels I covered the entire painting but took care to preserve the layout by scraping the gel away the boarders. This stuff goes on and dries clear so its pretty fun to work with.
I decided to go with a colour scheme I’ve used in the past.
With the background done. It was time for the next layer. I used a scan of the original to make a stencil to help keep the same layout.
A couple more times and voila!
